BLAC-H
Hospital environments more and more need security management and we need to protect ourselves against robbery, attacks etc, and this is not easy, above all when we are talking of large areas with a great number of small rooms that a hospital can have.
Therefore, it is a necessity to have security guarantees of the highest quality, given that they are installations that cover a large area of ground where various building are located, and with a high number of people moving around (staff, visits, maintenance, etc.) as well as vehicles (visits, services, own cars etc) within the premises.
Neither should we forget the importance of logistics and have under control the goods that come in and out of our installations, their exact location or know who has had access to each one of them , as well as the machinery that should be controlled at all times.
These problems have their high security solution in the Brivas Large Area Control (BLAC-H) project, a security management system that integrates technologies such as radar, cctv, biometrics and RFID with a pleasant looking and easy to use interface.
With Radio Frequency Identification( RFID) we can identify with tags ( which can be read from long distances) people, cars or other objects and know exactly their position within sites( although they do not have to be tags as they can be key fobs, wrist straps, neck chains or whatever is required).
This way, we can have every type of vital security information at hand. Such as if the vehicles in front of the main entrance are authorized to enter, if there are people in the premise’s zones where they do not have authorization, in which store particular merchandise is to be found, limiting access to the stores and so on. The system can control these events and a lot more. The vehicles or people that lack ID will be quickly detected by additional systems such as video surveillance, which will automatically alert the security personnel of the situation.
