Brivas Video Surveillance

‘Brivas Video Surveillance’ is a video surveillance application to estimate the number of people being recorded at every moment by a security camera. The system is orientated towards its operation with video cameras set in fixed interior positions.

The video flow from a security camera is processed in real time to extract the figures that are to be found moving on the image background. The system identifies the number of figures that respond to the appearance of a human producing an estimate of the number of people present in the image.

The information on the number of people present in view of each one of the security cameras analyzed can be used to store records or emit warnings. Equally, this information can be combined with the estimates obtained by any other alternative method, as could be identification by RFID, with the aim of establishing a more reliable integrated people presence and location control system.
